Our bodies are amazing wonderful things and given the right environment are always wanting to heal themselves. Due to the environment and modern lifestyles our bodies are often not getting what they need and are not given the opportunity to self heal. High stress levels, poor diet and environmental pollutants all contribute to bodily system imbalances. Through Nutritional therapy I assess individual requirements and areas which are in need of support in order to restore balance and give your body what it needs to improve health.
Prevention is key to health and so much easier to tackle imbalances and assess root causes before they develop into something which more serious.
Nutritional therapy believes each patient is unique and it takes a holistic approach rather than just looking at individual symptoms or plastering over the wound
I take an evidence based approach and have a special interest in Functional Medicine which is a dynamic approach to assessing, preventing, and treating complex chronic disease. Functional medicine acknowledges that chronic disease is almost always preceded by a lengthy period of declining function in one or more of the body’s systems (Institute of Functional Medicine 2010)
All clients are requested to fill out a questionnaire and food diary prior to initial appointment.
I will give a detailed and individual plan taking into account budget and lifestyle restrictions, I will never recommend anything that is not feasible for you. I want you to get the most out of your session and am here to help not complicate!
